We checked in today (Nov 24, 2024) and found this laptop priced at $799.99. That's $400 dollars off their regular price! I don't normally get personal, but I'm actually thinking of buying this today. So, stay tuned for any updates to this review!

ASUS TUF Gaming F15
15.6" Screen with a 144 Hz refresh rate
Obviously not as big as most monitors these days, but not a bad size given the compact nature of laptops
The refresh rate is well above what is needed for a smooth and enjoyable gaming experience.
i5-12500H CPU
8 Cores go above and beyond what's needed for most games and allows for running multiple tasks
The four performance cores (which are hyperthreaded) have a Max Turbo Frequency of 4.5 GHz, which is heavy-duty enough to tackle most modern applications seamlessly
The four efficiency cores boost to a Max Turbo Frequency of 3.3 GHz
16 GB DDR4 RAM
That's enough for most games, might want to upgrade to 32 GB for the most intense games.
NVIDIA GeForce RTX 3050 GPU
4 GB dedicated video memory
Ray Tracing enabled
Deep Learning Super Sampling (DLSS) enabled
Will run less demanding AAA games at high settings (1080p or 1440p)
Will run more demanding AAA games at medium settings (1080p)
Improved Arc Flow fans
Keeps system temperatures in check to improve stability by allowing more ambient air to be pushed through the system
512 GB SSD Storage
Sadly not a lot. Expect it to be able to carry 3 or 4 modern games at one time without an upgrade or addon.
Overall, this little beast should do pretty well for a compact, portable unit priced under $1,000. There might be some potential for dropped frame rates or reduced graphics quality in the most demanding games, but a lot of that will come down to tuning the game settings to get the most out of the hardware.
